Alcohol Healthwatch is pleased to be joining with the Centre for Addiction Research, University of Auckland, Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora, FASD CAN and others to mark FASD awareness month.
September is FASD awareness month and we are looking forward to hear the living experience voice and harness the energy since the Minister of Health, Hon Dr Shane Reti announced new action areas for FASD.
This conference aims to:
• Bring together an audience of researchers, policy advisors, decision makers and health leaders working in FASD
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing in the latest research and practice in FASD
• Facilitate meaningful relationships towards the collective goal of taking meaningful action in FASD in Aotearoa New Zealand
• Hear from those with living experience of FASD.
We are putting an engaging conference programme together that highlights the most recent evidence and showcases the mahi already underway in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Alcohol Healthwatch is an organisation of professionals dedicated to reducing and preventing alcohol-related harm and inequities in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Our role is to provide credible and up-to-date evidence-based information on matters relating to alcohol policy and planning. Our priority is to mobilise communities to take action on a range of alcohol-related harms, including fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
